8/2/2023 0 Comments ProcreateThere are many tools available that make illustrating and photo editing easy, natural, and enjoyable. What makes Procreate very valuable to me are the advanced design tools, resources, and price. Larger projects require an iPad with more memory. Some things I would mention if you haven't considered are to make sure you have the proper device specs to run the app. Many opportunities I have achieved would not have been successful without Procreate. I've learned that there are no limits to what you can do on Procreate. This app is great for hobbyists, beginners, and professionals. I now use this app as part of my design system in my professional work, and sometimes I even create complete projects. The value for the price is way more than I could expect from a $10 app. I've been a loyal user of Procreate since 2016, and it was the first design tool that started my journey as a graphic designer. I struggled with just a couple of things so you may need to take the time to reference the handbook, particularly if you're a novice. There is a Procreate handbook but since I am familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator I figured I could skip the handbook and go straight to creating. I did find that there was a bit of a learning curve with this software. Layers are easy to use, similar to Photoshop and Illustrator. For the price, it has some good exporting features like animated gifs and downloadable replays of the image you were drawing as you were drawing it, which I thought was cool. PROSĪs a designer who tends to need software to draw out certain logos and images by hand (with an iPad and pen), I did like the fact that the software gave a wide range of brushes and even allowed you to create your own brushes. It's just a simple little tool I can use when I'm not in front of a desktop or computer and I just like being able to pop into it and do my work and be done. These features are available with my adobe products, but I use this on my iPad with a pen and often times, on the go. Procreate allows me the autonomy to create graphics for logos and collaterals by hand.

It is argued that dissemination needs to be carefully considered at the design stage of research projects in relation to each of these elements. The following classification is one way of thinking about them and is adapted from Teaching Quality Enhancement. It is argued that the process of dissemination needs to be afforded greater emphasis by project-funding bodies, research supervisors, researchers, and those responsible for implementing changes in clinical practice. Following Wilson and colleagues 12, we here define research dissemination as a planned process that involves consideration of target audiences, consideration of the settings in which research findings are to be received, and communicating and interacting with wider audiences in ways that will facilitate research uptake and understanding. Through this evaluation we identified ways to enhance our dissemination efforts, ensure use, and ultimately make a better contribution to public health practice. In this paper, Philip Scullion sets out to explore and disentangle some of these complexities, examine examples of successful dissemination strategies and provide valuable insights. Dissemination of research findings or other key messages is increasingly acknowledged as a vital yet complex process. Publishing in a peer-reviewed journal can be the most effective method of sharing findings with a large group of clinicians or researchers.

This appreciation was correct: destruction of the enemy’s principal armed forces in theatre had to be the main priority. President Franklin D Roosevelt at the signing of the declaration of war against Japan following the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Then, a daringly conceived and executed air-raid on Tokyo – the Doolittle Raid, intended to avenge the humiliation of Pearl Harbor and raise American public morale – shocked the Japanese military leadership into a sharp strategic focus on Midway, Hawaii, and the US carrier fleet. Which to prioritise? This was the subject of an internal dispute within the Japanese High Command until 18 April. Then there was Australia, which was both an Allied stronghold and a potential Allied springboard for a counter-thrust into Borneo, New Guinea, and the Solomons. The US aircraft carriers had escaped the destruction at Pearl Harbor, and they could continue to operate out of their Hawaii base, roughly mid-Pacific. Two particular anxieties pressed upon the Japanese Naval High Command – two possible bases for an effective US counterattack. From the outset, it sought ways to strike back at Japan. From December 1941, it was fighting two wars with similar vigour. The United States looked east to Europe and west across the Pacific with equal concern. The Americans were an altogether different matter. The British might easily be held on the India–Burma border, at least for the time being – the British Empire was fighting a desperate struggle against Japan’s Axis allies to defend the home island and keep open its supply lines in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. In practice, this could not be done, for the Japanese Empire would never be secure in control of its massive conquests in the face of powerful Pacific rivals. The intention had always been to seize the territories needed for national self-sufficiency and then to go over to the defensive. Above all with the Americans, who could not tolerate a Japanese-dominated Pacific, nor the immense damage to US prestige represented by the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. At war with Nationalist China since 1937, the Japanese Empire was now in conflict with the Dutch, the French, the British, and the Americans. The strategic situation, however, was far from straightforward. Our second provides a blow-by-blow account of the action, setting in context ‘the fatal five minutes’ that transformed the war in the Pacific. Our first article discusses the men, the machines, the grand strategy, and the tactical imperatives. Our special this time offers a detailed military analysis of Midway. Nothing in naval warfare would ever be the same again. The decisive weapons were seaborne aerial bombers. Midway was a carrier battle in which the opposing fleets never saw each other. It also confirmed that the age of the general fleet action by lines of great battleships was over. This extraordinary turnaround confirmed what another military historian, Basil Liddell Hart, referred to as ‘the chanciness of battles fought out in the new style by long-range sea-air action.’ This is no exaggeration: at 10.25am on 4 June 1942, the Japanese had maritime and air supremacy in the Central Pacific by 10.30am, they had lost the war. Yet the battle was turned around by the action of just 34 airmen in a mere five minutes – what military historian John Keegan has called ‘the fatal five minutes’ that delivered ‘the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare’. Yet the odds were stacked against the Americans at Midway, and mid-morning on the day of battle they were facing a disastrous defeat – one that might have lost them both Midway and Hawaii, and therefore control of the Central Pacific one that might have added years to the length of the war. Thereafter and continuously, until the bitter end, at Okinawa and Hiroshima, the Japanese were on the defensive in a war of attrition they could not possibly win. The Battle of Midway, on 4 June 1942, was the turning point in that war, the moment when the Japanese surge that began with Pearl Harbor ended and the Americans went over to the strategic offensive. Across this vast area, between December 1941 and August 1945, Imperial Japan and the United States of America waged one of history’s greatest wars. More than 60 million square miles in extent, the approximate mid-point – the Midway Atoll – is 2,000 miles from any continent. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest single battle space on Earth. Next, follow my advice about protecting yourself from credit card fraud and check your bank accounts and credit cards every week. Don't go through your day just mindlessly clicking to get through your email. My biggest piece of advice is simple: Pay attention. It's at this point that the scammers, pretending to be PayPal's fraud department, start asking questions, and by the time they're done, they've separated their victims from a treasure trove of personal identifying information, which can fuel additional attacks into the future and can even be sold to other scammers and criminals. That's when somebody gets the email and calls the number they think is PayPal to prevent the payment. 3: Pay out by giving away too much personal info: The big score, I was told by the PayPal agent, is actually the third prong of the attack. It's called a " one-ring phone scam" and it works by spoofing numbers, possibly connecting you to an international number where you're charged merely for connecting to the number. 2: Pay out by dialing the digits: The PayPal agent told me that the second prong of the attack that often also provides value to the scammers is the phone number they ask you to call.ĭepending on the scammer, the number itself may be billable. Don't pay enough attention, click the wrong button, and whoosh! Money gone. While it's fairly unlikely that anyone who gets hit with this attack will click "Send Money," all it takes is one or two people doing that to make the entire attack worthwhile from the scammer's perspective. 1: Pay out through PayPal: The first prong of the attack was the request for $699.99. This makes it pretty ideal for phishing attackers. Once that email address is fed in, PayPal does most of the work. It's a big part of what PayPal does, and it's a service that provides a lot of legitimate value to a lot of people. All they need to do is feed an email address into the PayPal interface and request money. While the email address used for this account wasn't one of my most actively used accounts, my email addresses have been all over the Internet for decades, so they're undoubtedly available to attackers.Īlso: Hackers commonly use these file types to hide malwareĪnyone can ask someone for money through PayPal. 8/1/2023 0 Comments App for shipping packagesUSPS flat rate envelope - legal (15 x 9.5 x 0.5 in).USPS flat rate envelope (12.5 x 9.5 x 0.5 in).USPS flat rate box - large (12 x 12 x 5.5 in).USPS flat rate box - medium shallow (11.9 x 3.4 x 13.6 in).USPS flat rate box - medium (11 x 8.5 x 5.5 in).USPS flat rate box - small (8.6 x 5.4 x 1.6 in).USPS offers the following selection of Priority Mail Flat Rate packages: If you use a package that matches the dimensions, but the package isn't provided by the carrier, then your package doesn't qualify for special rates or services.
